Caring For Your Slime

Always wash your hands before playing with slime. This will keep your slime clean and make it last longer. If your hands are dry apply a small amount of lotion to your hands before you touch the slime to keep it from sticking all over. *If your slime is clear do not use lotion, that will make your slime cloudy. You can use glycerin. Always keep your activator nearby, just in case.

Use the one finger test method. It is simple; rather than sacrificing your entire hand, choose one finger and give your slime a good poke. When you take it out if the slime covers your finger then you need to spray activator onto it and probably your hands too just to be safe.

Keep your slime stored in an airtight container. This will keep your slime from drying out or hardening.

Keep your slime off porous surfaces. This is anything with small spaces that air or liquid can get through. Some examples are wood, paper, concrete, fabric, and carpets. Instead use a finished table, a smooth countertop, a glass table, or just keep it in your hands with the container close by.

If your Uso Slimy is "ew, too slimy", then spray it and/or your hands, with some activator. With the included activator pen, one spray at a time and knead in between sprays until you reach your desired consistency. *Please note that it is normal for slime to be sticky upon arrival. Heat and shipping time will both affect the slime. It will continuously break down over time but activator will help bring it back, even if it has turned back into glue.

If your Uso is too tough, then first you should try putting lotion or glycerin on your hands and working it into the slime. The more you play with it the softer it will get. If that did not work and you're patient you can leave it in its container next to a window or a warmer spot. If you cannot wait then you can put your slime into its container and place it into a bowl or tub of warm water. If your slime is still too tough and you have tried all the above your last resort, besides patience, is adding your own glue to your slime. Small amounts at a time and knead it into the slime. It will be sticky but avoid any more activator, trust the process. Don't do this step without your parents permission and only do this step if you're okay with risking ruining your slime.

Do NOT use artificial heat sources, like the microwave.

Give your slime attention. Owning slime is kind of like owning a pet except you don't have to find someone to watch it when you go out of town, unless you want to. The more attention it gets, the happier it will be. If you leave it on the shelf for months it will be a sad little puddle of glue.
